The HBCU Nation Radio Show presents its lineup of guests for Saturday April 26, 2014

Charlie Nelms, Ed.D, is a transformational servant-leader, a motivational speaker, and a consultant with more than 40 years of  expertise in higher education. Dr. Nelms will continue with part three of his discussion with Anthony Ray on  “Strengthening Our HBCUs:  A Call To Action”.

Marybeth Gasman, Ph.D is a Professor of Higher Education in the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania and the Director of the Penn Center for MSIs.  Dr. Gasman will discuss her most recent report, co-authored with William Casey Boland, titled, “America’s Public HBCUs:  A Four State Comparison of Institutional Capacity and State Funding Priorities”.

Nelson Bowman, III is the director of development at Prairie View A&M University.  As the chief development officer, he is responsible for managing major gift prospects, donor stewardship initiatives and the University’s internal school-based fundraising program. Most recently, he oversaw the successful completion of the University’s first capital campaign of $30 million. Topic of Discussion: “Alumni Giving:  Even When Not Asked, Should You Still Give?”

 Eddie Francis is an award-winning mass communication professional whose career spans mass media, higher education, and career development.  Eddie also the founder of the Black Greek Success Movement.  Eddie and Anthony will discuss his video blog “Higher Ed Branding via the Workforce”.
